My whole life has revolved around creative design. I didn’t grow up with unlimited resources & learned from a young age how to design and style everything from my living spaces to clothes on a $0 budget. From as far back as I can remember, I have been collecting items around the house and trying them in new places, making my own art to fit a space, repurposing an old piece to use it in a new way, and constantly rearranging rooms. I map out spaces as soon as I step into a room and think about how I can reorganize them like a puzzle in my head (thank you to my parents who let their 7 year old rearrange every room in the house on a daily basis). It turns out I can do a lot to reimagine spaces, no matter the budget, but it also allowed me to build a strong foundation for a career in interior design. My love of interior design has carried with me through life, with every home and space I’ve ever lived in. From designing and styling for friends and family for fun, to turning it into a side hustle passion, I’m so excited to create beautiful homes with you.
Listen to your Mom
When deciding on my college & major, my Mom proposed I consider interior design ....I ignored her.
I started out in graphic design & fine arts, hoping to become a textile designer, then stumbled my way into a degree in fashion, and began my 10+ year career in apparel product design, development & management. I utilize skills and things I learned through a fashion lense every single day and I am so thankful for the unique perspective this has given me. Good design and style make you feel good, no matter the end product.
Whenever a friend needs help with a house project, picking a paint color, consultation on a new living room rug, reorganizing furniture, or how to mix and match patterns with their textiles, I jump at the chance to help. I started realizing my love for interior design during the pandemic. I spent every free minute I had designing for myself and friends; freshening up rooms, creating more friendly remote work environments, overhauling newly bought houses, the design projects couldn't come to me fast enough. I learned that if they sent me photos, videos, and measurements of their space, I could help them from a distance, but still get to practice a skill that was rapidly becoming my passion. I even convinced my husband to buy a never-before-renovated-1938-house in November 2022. I showed him that I could redesign the entire house and make it our dream home. We DIYed everything – executing my designs one room at a time, using the house as my experimental playground. Right as we were about to break ground on a massive addition I had been designing for three years, I found us a new 1942 colonial fixer upper. A gem that hadn’t been touched since 2000. Hello Tuscan Villa kitchen that was in desperate need of a facelift. We started renovating ourselves in February 2026 and moved in May. We listed our old house in June and it was sold after being on the market for 14 hours with multiple offers. WOW. That confirmed it. I knew what I was doing resonated and other people were buying in. Cue the imposter syndrome.
Mom was right.
"You have to keep yourself open and aware to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open.... No artist is pleased. [There is] no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer divine dissatisfaction, a blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive than the others" - Martha Graham
I feel so fortunate to be able to work with people to create their homes. My goal is to design spaces that make you feel happy, at ease, uniquely you, and storied. I’m so excited for this new journey and what I learn along the way.
